¹⁶ Maacah, Machir’s wife, had a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother’s name was Sheresh, whose sons were Ulam and Rakem. ¹⁷ Ulam’s son was Bedan. These were the people of Gilead, descendants of Machir (son of Manasseh). ¹⁸ Bedan’s sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
